The Suit of Wands
The Suit of Wands can sometimes be referred to as the Suit of Batons. Each Suit contains 14 cards. Similar to a regular deck of cards, they have an ace, 2 to 10 numbered, queen, king. They also contain the page and knight which split the spot the Jack would typically occupy. These cards were originally used to play certain card games and still are throughout many European countries. The Suit of Wands would correspond with the Clubs suit. However, they can be used for divination, which has become increasingly popular in The United States.
In tarot, Wands represent Fire and refer to spiritual energy, inspirations, and ideas. These are associated with the way fire can held to weld or cook, but also can destroy a house in an instant. Wands can also sometimes be thought to speak to your sexuality. Fire also symbolizes willpower and it thought to be masculine.
Should a reading be primarily Wands, you may be suffering from creative block or stagnation.
